Things I am loving today

Today I am loving my outfit! Charlotte Russe has done it again for me. I love the inexpensive trendy tops I get there. I bought this top in April and have only worn it one other time. I have no idea why I haven't worn it more.

Also loving my Calvin Klein jeans. They have been MIA for several months. They are just so comfy.

Love this Vintage Pearl bracelet.

I love fonts! Found this website today for fun free fonts here.

I love antiques and vintage anything, especially when it is a family heirloom. I broke out my grandma's china this weekend and set the table. It looked so pretty on an antique table cloth my sister-in-law gave me. Now all I need is a cute tea pot.

Love the thought of letter writing. I have written about it before here. Last night we went out to my parents and found my calligraphy set. I am truly going to try and start writing letters to some of my friends, especially Michelle. I know she will appreciate it!

I love my new camera. Well new to me camera that is. Joe's new Canon 7D arrived last week and I got his Canon 50D! So loving taking photos with the 50mm lens. Sorry Nikon D3000, I still love you though.

I love Mac! I have loved Macs for years. I have an old 11" Ibook that needed to be replaced (it is almost 7 years old) I finally upgraded to a 15" MacBook Pro. Can I say LOVE IT! I have an older one for work. I am loving working on IOC and MODS stuff. Also having fun with our new Ipad too.

Love IOC (Images of Camelot - our up-and-coming photography and design company). I love how much fun Joe and I are having getting our business started.

And as I do every day, loving my family. Gwen, Joe, Mom, Dad and the whole crew. I am so blessed to have such an amazing family.

Lunch Date

Joe had a much needed day off today. He had a crazy weekend at the hotel and we didn't get to spend any time together, so we planned a lunch date today. We picked up Jimmy Johns and headed to the park.

We put a blanket down under a tree and put my Ipod on for a little music. We haven't had a picnic in such a long time. It was nice to relax together (even if it was for only 45 minutes!).

(I obviously wasn't cooperating when Joe was trying to take my picture!)

Back at work now. I have lots to do this week before our vacation next week. Happy Monday! Have a great week.

Week of Craziness

For a short work week, I thought it would never end. Joe had Wednesday off, so I took a comp day and we went into Chicago. I met one of my old friends from when I worked in advertising for lunch. We went to Volare. I had Insalata di Spinaci con Salmone Grigliato - Spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted red pepper and grilled salmon with a balsamic vinaigrette. It was so yummy and light. Perfect for such a hot day.

We walked down Michigan Ave and went to Millennium Park and took photos of the Bean.

Love this photo of Joe.

We stopped for a drink at this cool bistro on the river called Cyrano's Cafe and Wine Bar. It was so nice sitting by the river listening to some Edith Piaf and drinking a glass of wine.

We headed further up Michigan Avenue and took some photos of the new Marilyn Monroe statue in front of the NBC Tower.

After lunch we caught a cab and headed to Navy Pier for a fruity drink at the new Margaritaville Cafe.

It was fun playing tourist in our own city. We live so close, but rarely get the chance to take advantage of all the wonderful things Chicago has to offer. Looking forward to our next adventure in the city.

Happy & Thankful

Last week several of the blogs that I follow asked the question "what makes you happy today?" Well today I am happy because I have a wonderful husband, an amazing daughter and a job I really like. I am also happy and excited about our new business. Things are starting to come together! I was telling Joe, I have not been this excited about something, other than Gwen, in such a long time.

We are blessed in so many ways. Sometimes I complain and wish we could sell our condo or that we had a bigger car or that I had a bigger diamond, but none of that matters. We have a roof over our heads, 2 cars that run and a wonderful marriage. I have so much and sometime I forget to be thankful. Today I am taking stock of it all. Today I am completely happy and extremely thankful. I will not take anything for granted today. I am one lucky girl.

My glass is definitely half full! Enjoy your day.

Ren Faire

I am so excited that we are going to the Bristol Renaissance Faire tomorrow. We have made it a tradition to go every year since we moved back from South Carolina. I can't believe this is our 8th year going.

Here are some photos from years past.

I can't wait to take photos of Gwen in her fairy costume tomorrow! Huzzah!

Finished

I have been crazy busy for the last few weeks. We had a huge event for the 4th of July.

It was great! Then today I finished the Fall Brochure.

Yay! me. So relieved to have it at the printer. Now I can clean off my desk and get back to blogging more often!

Had a really nice afternoon. Joe came and took me to lunch at Panera and then we went to this thrift store I just found out about. Got some really cute items can't wait to wear them.

Now I am home and supper is on - homemade sauce and Italian sausage!!

Joe just grated some fresh Asiago cheese and cut some crusty bread, so I better go.

Have a great evening!
